I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have been fortunate enough to have used my professional skills as Crisis clinician for a local community services board, an intensive in home therapist, and an outpatient therapist. In these roles, I have developed a great appreciation for all ages and clinical needs.
I am the owner of Enlightenment Counseling Services, LLC and I am a co-author in the book collaboration, PEARLS – Wisdom and advice from emerging women leaders.
My areas of interest include grief, substance use and abuse, and women’s issues. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, singing, and photography.
To understand who I am as an individual, I will give you a few descriptors of me.
Sister, Aunt. Daughter. PCOS Survivor, Type II Diabetic. Community Supporter. Advocate. Overcomer. Friend. Supporter. Encourager. Migraine Sufferer.
All of these words, I bring into the session with my client to help me provide the best care to my clients. If this sounds like a therapist you would like to have in your corner, give me a call at 804-322-3942.
